Why the long-term plans are paid upfront

The lower rate on Annual and Biennial is only possible because the full term is paid upfront. Committing for the whole period lets us reserve dedicated resources for your software and plan ahead, and we hand that saving straight back to you as a lower monthly price. Flexible stays month to month with no commitment, so it costs a little more — you're paying for the freedom to stop whenever you want.

Annual and Biennial plans renew at the pricing in effect at renewal time. There's no long-term price guarantee beyond your current term.

Setting up your software is real, one-time work. How much of it is on us depends on how long you commit. The longer the commitment, the more is free.

Flexible

Your base managed environment is set up free — our commitment on every project. Advanced features are optional one-time add-ons you pick and pay for upfront, before we build them.

Annual

The base environment and all 7 Essentials are set up free. A few Premium add-ons (Zero Trust, the full monitoring suite) carry a small one-time fee.

Biennial

Everything is set up free — base environment, Essentials, and every Premium feature. Nothing to pay beyond your hosting.

Daily off-site backup + failure alert — the upgrade

A fresh snapshot every day, kept as a rolling 3-day history, stored off-site on your own Cloudflare R2 (free 10 GB tier — plenty for a 3-day history of an app your size). Plus a dead-man's-switch alert that pings us the instant a backup ever fails. This narrows worst-case data loss from up to a week to under a day.

Choosing Daily Backup uses one free Cloudflare R2 bucket on your own account (10 GB free tier). We set it up with you in a few minutes — it's your storage, on your account, so the backups belong to you, not us. Prefer not to? The free Weekly backup stays on automatically. You're never left without backups.

Your managed plan covers our labor, engineering, administration, and the core environment. It does not cover third-party platform costs if a free tier is ever exceeded.

These free tiers are more than enough for internal business apps and early-stage products, so you likely won't pay a cent extra for a long time. If your usage ever grows far past the free limits, we move that one tool onto your own billing card. You pay only for exactly what you use, billed directly by the provider, with zero markup from us.

What's not included

  • Building new features or new software — that's quoted separately as a development project.
  • Your domain registration and yearly renewal — you own and renew the domain; we configure it for free.
  • Third-party platform costs if you ever exceed a free tier (billed to you directly, at cost).
  • Content, data entry, or account management inside your own software.
  • Design or branding work.

Questions

Is this just hosting space?

No. It's a fully managed environment. We handle the server, security, backups, monitoring, updates, and fixes, so you never touch the technical side.

Why do the longer plans have to be paid upfront?

Paying the full term upfront is what makes the lower rate possible. It lets us reserve resources and plan ahead, and we pass the saving back to you. Flexible stays monthly because you're paying for the freedom to stop anytime.

Can I cancel?

Flexible cancels anytime. Annual and Biennial run for their full term, then renew at the pricing in effect at that time.

What's the setup fee about?

On Flexible, advanced features are one-time add-ons paid upfront, because there's no commitment to cover that work. On Annual, the Essentials are free. On Biennial, all setup is free.

What's the difference between weekly and daily backup?

Weekly backup is free and on for every plan. Daily off-site backup is an upgrade that keeps a rolling 3-day history on your own free Cloudflare R2 storage, plus an alert if a backup ever fails. It's free on Annual and Biennial.

Why do I need my own platform accounts?

So you own your data and configurations outright, with no lock-in and no markup. We set everything up for you under accounts you control.

What if I go over a free tier?

You likely won't for a long time. If you ever do, we move that single tool onto your own billing card and you pay the provider directly at cost — never a marked-up bill from us.

How do I pay?
